Seinfeld. I really liked this show. Very entertaining. I watched it on the BBC and on Belgian channels TV1 and VT4.
I remember that episode where George tries out a taboo sexual technique on his girlfriend. The audience never exactly gets to know what he did under the sheets. I think that's where the idea for Sex and the City was born. I've recently wondered about the representation of New York City in television and movie fiction and how it holds up to reality. If anyone has anything to say about that. Please, go ahead. |
Uhh Mister...Mister Steinbrenna'??? (George). Played by Larry David (Steinbrenner)......EXCELLENT!
|
Larry David did the best work of that whole show. What w/ writing, producing, & doing small things like voice overs, like George Steinbrenner
G.Costanza: George would never steal anything from the Yankees G.Steinbrenner: No, Why would I, I own it. G.Costanza: Well, I think it's about time for George's lunch. G.Steinbrenner: Yes it is. |
why was i never into seinfeld before? love it now and frasier which i never liked at all in the past.

George is the best character by far.
I've seen every episode of this show at least 30 times each. I have whole episodes memorized. Best show ever, really. |
I never found Jerry at all funny, on the show or doing stand-up. I also agree with the dislike for Elaine. But I can still occasionally enjoy certain episodes of Seinfeld, which is a huge testament to the skills of Kramer and Costanza. Best episode ever was "Opposite George".
"Hi, my name is George. I'm unemployed and I live with my parents" |
favorite episode: The Doll
when that fucking thing started talking to George's dad too, I cried for an hour. |
George and Elaine by far the best. I don't get the Elaine non-love.
"He took it out." "What?" "He--" (Elaine blows on glasses twice) "--took it out." |
Yeah, Elaine rules. Kramer is my least favorite character. Very one-note and also extremely mean-spirited at times (I know, I know, all the characters are bad people and unlikeable in certain ways, but Kramer still always backstabs his friends and shit). I liked Jerry until the backwards episode -- where he fucks George's girlfriend. That shocked me....
My favorite episde has to be the one where George acts like he's a badass to impress a girl. Meanwhile, Jerry is conned into bootlegging movies by Kramer and Kramer's friend, and he decides that he's going to be the best bootlegger ever so he wants to set up a bunch of little cameras from all sides of the room to get all kinds of different angles. Also the same episode where Elaine's dancing is mocked for the first time. "I'm a bootlegga... I bootleg da movies..." Just priceless. |
Another one of my favorites is the one where Kramer and Jerry switch rooms and they start acting like each other. "I'm on no sleep.. NO SLEEP! ... Oh, I'm stressed!" Haha.
Worst episode, besides the recap ones, has to be the very last one. Ugh. I also love that one line, and I've used it before... When a telemarketer calls Jerry... JERRY: No, I'm busy right now ... oh, well, can I have your number so I can call you when you're at home?... oh, you don't want to give me your number? Well, now you see how I feel." One time I found a copy of this book called SeinLanguage in the trash and it had all of Jerry's stand-up material from the show plus other funny ass bits. He's a clever guy. Some of his material is simplistic.. I mean, 90% of it is simple observational humor, but he's still pretty funny. |
i like elaine and george but then i like all of them bu those two are my favourites.
anyone ever see the oz/seinfeld scetch? |
One of my favorite exchanges on the show:
JERRY--Hello? Who is this? Donna Chang? Oh I'm sorry I must have dialed the wrong number. ELAINE--Donna Chang? JERRY--Should've talked to her; I love Chinese women. ELAINE--Isn't that a little racist? JERRY--If I LIKE their race, how can that be racist? |
i like the one with the jimmy character:
jimmy likes you. |
Now you listen to me: I want details and I want them right now. I don’t have a job , I have no place to go… you’re not in the mood, well you get in the mood- George Costanza
|
"Elaine, you don't like the movie?"
"I HATE IT!" *theater crowd jeers* "OH GO TO HELL!" |
I would like to make the above into a ringtone.
|
"We're missing the Death Blow!!!!!!"
Death Blow: When someone tries to blow you up, not because of who you are, but because of different reasons altogether! |
"Everybody out of the Chunnel!"

So true. |
And there are no unfunny characters on this show. They are all hilarious! I just watched the episode where George has the huge winter jacket, and they are going to a dinner, but are buying wine and babkah. (lol) George is the best. He is hilarious in the episode.
"No way is wine better than Pepsi" Hahahaha |

I really like the episode where George finds rubbers in his car and then later Kramer walks down the street with a big fancy pimp coat, cain, and huge white cat on. There's some black guy in the background saluting him with his hands that is just hilarious.
|
Pretty much the best sitcom ever?
|
Seinfeld is the only sit-com I can stand. I fucking love this show, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I just saw the episode where George divulges his ATM password (BOSCO!) to Peterman's dying mother. Hilarious.
|
George: I enjoy understanding.

One of the most consistantly clever, entertaining and amusing shows on television. I watch it all the times in reruns and they don't get old or tired.
I think that George is the most honest character, and maybe that's why he's the most likeable. He has his foibles, but he knows it, he admits it. Elaine is perhaps the least likeable because she thinks of herself as a good person, and she's just as shallow and self-centred as the rest of them. Great supporting cast too- especially George's parents. They are a riot. |
one word:
puddy |

hahaha high five |
My favorite show ever. I really got into it when I was nine (the same year it went off the air), so much so that I had my hair styled like Kramer's. I remember being really bummed out after the last episode.
Not very much that can be said about it that's already been said, but yeah, brilliant show. I can watch every episode a hundred times over and still find it as funny as the first time I watched it. I think my favorite episode would have to be The Gum. |
My favorite Puddy moment @ 3:00
I think he might be my favorite secondary character, although Newman and Frank Costanza come close. |
happy festivus.
