Jesus F what a lineup! Has any recording surfaced?

Thurston will be playing my hometown! He'll be at the Rifflandia festival which takes place from Sept 11-14. Maybe this will be part of a larger North American tour for The Best Day?

Lee played this festival four years ago, did I ever share my recording of that? I had a real rough time synching the video and audio and just got fed up, if I recall...

Yeah I should have clarified that (with Sebadoh). Single day passes for Riot Fest now on sale, Thurston plays on Sunday.

not that I really care because I won't be attending anyway, but who's supporting who? Sebadoh supporting Thurston or Thurston supporting SebadoH?

What is his current tour like?

I want to go to Riot Fest...but not sure if I should go to see him perform? Is it basically CLM?

Last time I saw him about a month ago he didn't play any CLM stuff, it was all new songs and now Deb Googe (MBV) is the bassist. Not sure if Steve Shelley will be on drums but you should definitely go!

Cool, thanks Stu! Hopefully he plays on a day that is stacked! It's a bit expensive and I'd like to not overpayto just see TM.

the European tour (at least the show in Amsterdam next month) is billed as the Thurston Moore Band which includes Steve, Debbie Googe and James Sedwards

On the site of Gebäude 9 in Köln it is mentioned that Thurston will play there on Sunday 16 November. It's added very recently probably because there's no tickets on sale yet.
Oh and on last.fm there's a couple more German dates around that time (Heidelberg, Munich and Wiesbaden)

Thurston informed me that the TM band will play Islington Town Hall London in November not sure of the exact date.

Following The Thurston Moore Band’s (James Sedwards of Nought – guitar, Deb Googe of My Bloody Valentine – bass and Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth – drums) recent impromptu set at Café Oto in London, England, the group announce their first UK tour taking place soon after their dates in the US and Canada.
Uncut magazine were in attendance for the band’s first show and had this to say about the live performance:
“The album – which is due out in October – is excellent, and these live versions are muscular and digressive. Great songs, and a sense that Moore has found fresh inspiration in N16 with his latest, formidable accomplices.”

Vancouver is still listed on their Facebook (and the other Canada dates are not) so it probably is...

edit: and there's a couple more combined US dates listed there too that may not be known yet here, e.g. Santa Barbara

I assume you mean the traveling authorization document and not the credit card. :D But why would Canada have a problem with Thurston & Co. entering its maplesyrupy territory?

Yeah, I'm not doing Riot Fest (hate festivals) but did buy tickets for the after party gig w/ Mudhoney. Hate Thurston had to pull out, but still, Mudhoney + Naked Raygun should still prove well worth the 28.00 bucks. Saw Mudhoney some years ago and they were totally badass live. looking forward to checking out Naked Raygun.

I read a rumor that Thurston and his band will be playing in Chile in November. If that happens, then I hope he will stop for a show in Mexico, too.

6 December (or that weekend anyway) according to last.fm he'll be at a festival in Chile

some US shows will be with Parquet Courts (oct 21st to 26th)... these will be amazing shows for sure
