i'd like to think they do. I'd like to think that they change the way you look at the world (certainly acid and mdma changed my view of things) but i think that people looking for a spiritual experience will think they're having one when really they're tripping/rushing off their nut.

but then again it's all down to your own perception isn't it? If you believe you watched gods face reflected over the ocean, then you did.
