yeah, my cario sucks as well. Besides walking and biking I don't get much. I should start jogging.

Iain 08.28.2006 03:42 PM

Biking must be pretty good, providing you push yourself a bit. I only really get exercise from walking (well, until I started playing squash but that was only last week) but I walk most places and walk quite fast.

And Jonboy has hit the nail on the head....a change of lifestyle is what you need I suppose.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 08.28.2006 03:50 PM

i dont smoke or anything so that helps. I also started paying attention to what I eat.

!@#$%! 08.28.2006 04:05 PM

i care about my wait only to the extent that i like to fit into my pants. it's as good a measure as any. i like to be a bit on the large size, as it keeps trouble away. seriously.

however, i do care about the quality of my food, but mainly because a) i love food and b) i'm a bit of a glutton, but a refined one. so in that vein i avoid excess sugar (unless we're talking french pastries), trans fats and processed crap, sodas & such worthless shit.

the other problem i have that relates to my weight is that i work sitting on my ass all day and i can feel sick after a long day of-- just sitting on my ass. it's not so much the weight but the wasting of muscle that bugs me. so i go for walks every day. good enough to keep the blood flowing. i might add some weight workouts in the future but i have no time right now. i spent the weekend fixing a work truck-- lots of fun!

sonicl 08.28.2006 04:20 PM

I have no idea what I weigh. I haven't weighed myself for over three years. My trousers keep getting tighter though, so I guess I need to exercise more.

jon boy 08.28.2006 04:24 PM

the main exercise i get is walking, a lot of walking. its really good for you plus you get to see nice things. i dont eat any pre packaged foods or take aways and i cut my drinking down to a few times a week. i also exercise to a sort of regime, but i stick to it and have done for years.

I have a beer gut & it bothers me because I am a vain individual. It's the only weight I have on my body other than I've got some love handles starting to form that I consider to be very unsightly. It doesn't bother me enough though to make me do anything different though. When I've fretted over it to others they tell me not to worry because I do not look like a fat person. Thing is, I've always maintained an ideal weight until a few years ago. I guess age slows your metabolism down. I should probably go to the health food store for a supplement. I used to be really active. I went out every night. I used to play a lot more tennis & soccer. Being a longtime smoker has limited how much physical activity I do now, but I still walk a lot, whenever possible actually. As God as my witness, I will never have a double chin though, that I can assure myself & everyone else.

schizophrenicroom 08.28.2006 04:43 PM

i worry about it a lot.

i'm ok with my upper legs. they're muscular from running and gymnastics, but still, i'm not in top form. everything else i really don't like. i'm an... eleven in jeans. i hate getting that "oh, you're so curvy!" shit. i was 14/16 at like, age eight because my hips decided that one would rest on one side of the world, and the other on the other side.

Yeah, ditto. I know I have a gut. Its not huge, but I don't really feel comfortable with people seeing it, either. I'm attempted "dieting", which is basically just cutting down on snacking, portion control, and substituting beverages with water. My weight doesn't go down at all. I'm about 5'3 and weigh 130 lbs. It seems like a lot, but I can fit into youth large t-shirts well and wear size 4 pants. My arms are pretty skinny. People tell me I'm thin but of course, I think I'm fat. One day I'll think I'm looking good and the next I'll think I look like a cow.

static-harmony 08.28.2006 06:04 PM

I don't eat right, so I am skinny as hell I only weight 120 lbs, I need to start eating right and healthy too.

qprogeny79 08.28.2006 06:10 PM

wow, i have the opposite problem that everyone else has. i'm fairly significantly underweight . . . 5'8" and approx. 130#. i think in theory i'm supposed to be 10-15 pounds heavier to be at my ideal weight . . . although i would imagine some of that is supposed to come from muscle (i've never worked out). i've actually lost about 10 pounds in the past two years so that's supposedly cause for concern. then again, i have a friend who weighs about as much as i do and is 6' tall . . . so it could be worse.

luxinterior 08.28.2006 06:11 PM

I just visited the doctor before leaving for college...I'm my normal height (something like 5'5 I think), 117 lbs (I dropped about 8 lbs over the summer somehow), and I wear a size 6 pants, and though they are a bit loose now, I still wouldn't want to try to fit into a size 4. I am content with my body type, but I've been wearing what appear to be training bras since I was 12. Seriously, I have to go into Wal-Mart or JCPenney, head to the little girls section, look for the bras that are advertised with 9-year-old girls pictured on the packaging, and buy those. It's lame, but then again, I would probably look like some kind of mutant if they were any bigger.

I do care. I don't stress over it.. I'm probably about 5-10 pounds over weight

That's my problem too. I try to gain a little wait sometimes, but I have a fear that when I get older it'll reverse it on me and I'll wish I'd just left it alone. I'm 5'8 and stay around 130 pretty consistantly. I'm more concerned about muscle, which I don't have nearly enough of.

k-krack 08.28.2006 07:38 PM

I care a little bit. I figure I'm a bit chubby, but it doesn't seem so, i wear small t-shirts and don't jutt out in places, ie; stomach/chest. I do eat too much though...

Ripchord 08.28.2006 09:02 PM

Yes, i care. It's hard because i'm only 5'4" so it's kind of compacted (not as bad as my 5'0" sister). But the doctor said i was underweight. Which gives me reason to believe she's a liar.

touch me i'm sick 08.28.2006 10:05 PM

i'm pretty skinny but tall so i weigh more than i seem

Cantankerous 08.28.2006 10:14 PM

i'm goddamn skinny, however if i was 200 lbs i wouldn't really give a flying fuck either way.

krastian 08.29.2006 12:18 AM

I have a beer belly and it pisses me off, so yeah.
