cheeseburgers and fries homemade. No mikey d's, bk's or wendies for me. Other than a great piece of steak, a cheeseburger is my favorite meal.

knox 08.21.2010 03:34 PM

do you make the hamburgers yourself, chika?

have you tried just abandoning hamburger altogether and switch to skillet steaks like "cubed steak" or other thin cuts of round or sirloin and make steak sandwhiches.. you'll never eat hamburger again ;)

knox 08.21.2010 03:46 PM

no, hamburgers are too good.
i want chicka to make burgers my way.

disturbingly they're not ;) meat handling in the modern world is frightening enough, let alone to eat ground meat of indeterminate origin, plus that shit is pure fat, look at how disgusting the pan is after you cook ground beef, and then look at the pan after a steak. no fat, just a bit of coagulated blood, MUCH healthier..

knox 08.21.2010 04:01 PM

depends which kind of meat you're using to make your burger.

but you want some meat with some fat otherwise it'll be dry.

SuperCreep 08.21.2010 04:07 PM

i'll probably order in some sushi.

yeah, sushi sounds good.

not true, if you cook it long and low (lower the heat in the pan and cook it longer to keep it tender and juicy) and buy a slightly fattier cut of meat like Top Round you get a much more delicious burger, I promise you ;)

also, even with hamburger, you should only flip the meat once to preserve tenderness and flavor

I used to LIVE on hamburgers (literally, not an exaggeration) so I consider myself a well-versed aficionado..

knox 08.21.2010 05:24 PM

stop telling me how to make my hamburgers

I ain't telling you shit, I'm just exchanging recipees, which by the way, you have been rude not share or contribute your own ;)

Besides, if we are to expand our love after your recent dreamt affirmation, perhaps we might have to start trusting and sharing more?

knox 08.21.2010 05:30 PM

well you're gonna say it's wrong and try and tell me to eat steak and bread like we're living in a pre-burger world or something.

EVOLghost 08.21.2010 05:45 PM

I'm gonna figure that out right now. though probably no/minimal drinking.

last night was rather heavy on Oberon's Wheat Ale and Maker's Mark whiskey

I-sistren, we're living in a post-burger world. So what is your magic burger recipee that will proselytize me away from my steak conversion back to the catacombs of hamburger?

knox 08.21.2010 06:14 PM

WELL, it's called the hamburger.

you will need
minced beef - the cheap kind, with fat
1 onion chopped
1 clove of garlic chopped
salt and pepper
a bit of fresh parsley
1 egg
breadcrumbs (or not)

you will then need to use your hands.

a big chunk of brie or cheddar or not

if you want the bread you might wanna toast it a bit as well
i use this

you might wanna boil big chunks of potato with skin and then put them in a hot oven for about 10-15 min with some olive oil on top.

its a good non-steak meal.

baked? I only get baked, but I have never tried baking hamburgers, interesting suggestion, I just might try it (with some ground sirloin of course ;) )

knox 08.21.2010 06:49 PM
