Ooh fun stuff, on a big screen?

!@#$%! 03.27.2006 05:14 PM

twin peaks season 1 kicks ass

i haven't see season 2 however. i've heard mixed reviews due to network pressures...

johnnywinternoshow 03.27.2006 05:50 PM

my girlfriend bought her brother a twin peaks board game off ebay for christmas, apparently it's stupidly complex for a boardgame and involves players speaking backwards with the other people have to decipher what's being said amongst other things

i don't know, i would imagine it'll be projected as it's for 50 people. it's right at the beginning of the month though....

season two is good, although there's a bit of a lull in excitement in the middle but it picks up a lot towards the end, it's also 3 times longer than the first series.

i haven't seen all of lynch's films but, of those i have seen, i rank them as follows:

1. Eraserhead
2. Mulholland Dr.
3. Blue Velvet
4. Short Films

i haven't seen lost highway yet. i'm waiting for them to re-release it here in the u.s. -- i've heard all the imports are crap. anyone have word of when this might happen?

I've got the french deluxe edition that came out last year. The british one should be out by now, which I think is the same HD transfer as the french.

No word yet on the Universal version. It could be a while.

You can say the same of James Spader...way too old to be in Pretty in Pink, yet somehow always stayed the same age.

after that i like eraserhead and the straight story a lot.

my local video shop is doing a twin peaks marathon session in may where they are going to be showing both series and the film in one long 36 hour session, it's going to be a themed extravaganze apparently, free coffee free pie etc. i can't wait.

Cool! I'm a big TP fan. I can't rank the movies, though, they are all equally good, except Dune....although if I had to choose a favorite it probably would be Lost Highway.

Eraserhead, the other ones are okay but, Eraserhead

Eraserhead

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 06.19.2006 10:32 PM

The only ones that I've watched in completion are Wild At Heart, Blue Velvet, and Eraserhead. I'd say Blue Velvet is the best of those 3 although Eraserhead breaks a lot more ground.

Amaranth 06.19.2006 10:55 PM

I really don't like David Lynch, however, because I live in the Inland Empire I am curious about his take on it.

Tokolosh 06.20.2006 02:35 AM

Wild at heart is the most beautiful.
Eraserhead is a pro abortion nightmare.
Blue velvet has the best soundtrack.
The straight story is totally slo-mo-shun.
Twin peaks is a trip.
Lumiere 53 sec film strip is amazing.
Rabbit is suicide.

All his films are brilliant.
