I am not!
This is a thing that a lot of iron range types will be familiar with.

Now, fudge strip bars...that's just fucked up.

Where I'm from is largely comprised of people from Norwegian ancestry so we have a lot of shit like lutefisk, leftsa, etc. I don't eat any of it.

The best shit I've only seen in the midwest, though has to be beef commercials. A hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes on top smothered in gravy. Fuck.

Fudge stripe bars, snickers, or any other kind of candy shit. My fatass cousins eat that shit up like nobody's business.

Hot salt beef sandwiches are still fairly popular in Jewish areas of London.

my family used to have a house in a tiny village in france where the butcher mainly sold organs. one of my earliest summer vacation memories is rows of little cups with brains in them. fascinating when you're four.

steak and fries.

i don't really like the traditional kitchen here, it's all heavy and the idea 'meat is the base of every meal' is way too common. this type of food isn't exactly very popular in restaurants anymore.

i had the best moules frites in oostende.

... but your right about belgian food... it's like more american than american food.

steak americaine and frites for example

it's called "steak amercaine," but most americans wouldn't eat it... even though they love red meat, they don't even like it rare, let alone raw.
