I have read of people like billy joel and bruce willis who used to be regular dudes and they always tip fat tips, hundreds of dollars.

Which I think is real cool of them, i'd loved to be busting my ass at work and someone give me a a couple of hundred bucks, YES!

The shitty thing (and it isn't really shitty just potentially ironic) about Johnny Depp is that he dropped $4,000. I know its nothing to him, but I'm sure any of us here could use $4,000 immediately to pay bills etc..

So my point of it being potentially shitty is that next time some celebrity eats out late with a bunch of friends and leaves a few hundred for the tip, I could picture the server being greatful and accepting it gladly, but maybe in the back of his/her mind...'' Oh, so I wasn't worth the $4,000 your boy Johnny Depp dropped the other night''.....

I know that isn't how I would view it, but people are increasingly getting more fucked in the head.

A fair point I think. More should be said about the generous tippers out there.

i don't like most "waitpersons". they are mostly actors-- a particularly repugnant type of human being. fuck them and their sniveling ways. if they fuck with me i never get pissed off though-- i simply leave a nickel as a big "fuck you".

of course, good service deserves to be paid. but this is a strict business transaction. i used to be a waiter once and i sucked-- i fucking frowned at people... a lot. i don't have the temperament to make a good servant.

however-- i love a good solid working-class waitresses without pretentions, the kind who work at 2am in diners and say "here is you pie, hon" and carry a little rag on their apron. love them.

i always tip a bartender well, starting with the first order of drinks-- this guarantees fast service and fat servings of liquor. it is definitely a bribe. i have no love for those cokehead bastards.

as for tipping someone 4G's, maybe if they give me the best blowjob in the universe, after a mind-melting lapdance... maybe. ok, yes.

hahahah

that makes two of us. I could NEVER do that job without fucking off about 90% of my customers.

my biggest pet-peeve is take-out and buffets. you aren't getting 15% of my total fucking bill for bringing me one fucking drink refill.

When I have the money and the service is great I try to tip as much as I'm able to. Alas - I usually go out to eat with my parents and they usually tip the standard 15% - though I sometimes convince them to throw in an extra dollar if I thought the service was exceptional.

I NEED A JOB.

I usually just ditch the check entirely and run....
