same here, the town is just a starbucks and a mcdonalds and then theres the park, which i posted pictures of already, so everyone just hangs out there,
but if you hop ona train for 20 minutes you get to birmingham which looks like this-

Slavo's hometown's architechture is soo European, so cobbled streets. It looks like a scene from Half Life 2.

candymoan 05.18.2006 07:29 AM

half of the city is in asia, and the rest is in europe.. in between the continents, bosphorus..

and crossing continents are two bridges..

and this is the district i live in - the european side..

and one postcard like structure..

these are the pretty things, but the city is plagued by overpopulation, constant traffic jams due to poor infrastructure, and a decline in the quality of life..

fishmonkey 05.18.2006 08:15 AM

aww wow, candymoan, where you live looks really nice, yours too slavo.

candymoan 05.18.2006 08:19 AM

thanks! i love ireland too, i do get a little itchy in the country though, its nice and all but i get bored real quick! i'm a real "towny" at heart and love the hussle and bussle of a city. I love Cork, the people are so nice, they actually go out of their way to help you. why some people even call it the "real capital"

candymoan 05.18.2006 08:30 AM

that's what i mean when i say i like the irish culture..
when you get bored, you can always head to the pub, and end up getting drunk with a lot of new found friends...

by "hometown" i think of where i grew up, not where i live now. it's pretty funny, there's a "live web cam" of main street in my hometown on the town newspaper's website. it's not really live, but for a good laugh, check it out:

More like "concrete, concrete everywhere, nor any drop to drink" to make the correct allusion.;)

Slavo, where do you live? I forget, sorry.

Anyway, the second picture looks really nice...Similar to Krakow to my eyes and that is a super nice place.
