See, here's what I meant: you can't even look over the edge, even if you want to, so it's not that scary once you're on it... just a bit :D! By the way, I think those barriers take care of the winds issue too.

Been there, it's awesome. And when you look down from it, you just tiny little coloured spots, which are, in fact, people waving at you.

That sounds very familiar! When we were in Corsica last year I had to do a lot of driving on twisting mountain roads with steep drops at one side. The first time I did that drive I swore I would never do it again I was so terrified, but after a couple of days we ran out of food so I had no choice but to drive again. I got used to it after a couple of goes, but I still spent a lot of time staring at tarmac that week and missed out on a lot of beautiful views.

Thats exactly what I said when I saw it on TV. It replaced a beautiful scenic drive through that beautiful French valley, and by the way, that bridge saves drives approximately 30 minutes driving time.........
