I was sold after about 3 minutes when he started rubbing his nipples.

I quite liked Trawsfynydd Lo-Fi Liberation Front, although I missed the first 10 minutes of their set, and Somatic Response were alright as well.

Wolf Eyes were fantastic and I overheard much gushing praise from a few people. My friend said it was like being 15 again and seeing Napalm Death. I also heard one bloke say it was like "seeing The Beatles before anyone knew who they were" and that it was "music to cross continents for". Which I thought was probably overstating it a little bit. They were ace though except I would have liked a bit more sax.

Yeah consumer electronics was the funniest thing i have ever seen. It was incredable. My friend walked out halfway though the first set. He couldnt take it. some people...

i like birth refusal more than wolf eyes these days. graveyards too.

Can't chose between Human Animal and Burned mind but I guess I'd go with The first one because It's sounds like a far more mature album then their previous one's, in the meaning that their music has grown. The songs sound a lot more different and aren't just plain "noise" tracks.

Everyneurotic 02.19.2008 11:06 AM

i'm seeing them in like a month and a half or something. let's see if they live up to their reputation.

batreleaser 02.19.2008 12:37 PM

i love wolf eyes, i think theres a reason there more well known than a lotta noise bands; theyre one of the best:

my faves:
human animal
burned mind
dead hills ep
split casette with metalux
fuck pete larsen lp
droll casettes

they have so much, ive doubt ive even heard all their stuff

no worries, theyre great live. the sax sounds so good live, it doesnt come through as well on the records, but sounds heavenly in concert.

They're okay, I have listened to.. at last count... 107 of their albums. (I have a notepad file on my computer called "wolfeyes.txt" which lists every wolf eyes album I've heard, for future reference -- I know that's kinda geeky, but I don't want to hear the same album twice, and they have so many similiar titles). Some are amongst the worst shit I've heard in my entire fucking life (halloween holocausts for example)... some are really great. Most is decent or a little worse than decent.

I can safely say "BLACK VOMIT" is my favorite.

I think Wolf Eyes generally make better albums when collaborating with other artists.

PAULYBEE2656 02.20.2008 09:02 AM

wolf eyes..... they once were the in band to like yknow...

my favourites

black vomit
burned mind
dog jaw
dread...

i thought human animal was terrible.

be warned tho, the vast majority of wolf eyes is tripe

try aaron dilloways asset stripping as well, its great!

i know a guy who sold this for 100-plus dollars on ebay.

w.e. side projects are a hair better in average.

dilloway solo can be pretty awesome
demons are great.
hair police of course can achieve greatness more frequently.
graveyards can be really good but mostly are mediocre.
birth refusal are ok.
dead machines are mostly abyssmal, worse than wolf eyes can be and that's saying a lot.

atsonicpark 02.20.2008 05:06 PM

I actually REALLY like Hair Police.

Mainly the stuff with drums, but it's all really cool..

When I first read this I mistook sex for sax!

...I then had a daydream about having sex accompanied by a Wolf Eyes soundtrack... not a concept that would naturally spring to mind.

Wich are the "less noisy" albuns? What would you recommend? I've only heard Human Animal and didnīt like it.

why bother?

wolf eyes are the less noisy noise band, if you can't like them then you can't like noise.

seriously, why bother?

atsonicpark 02.21.2008 08:30 AM

^^^ Agreed.

mAraujo 02.21.2008 11:01 AM

I'm not "trying" to like them just because i want be into noise. I didn't like human animal and i wanted to check out another album, just that. I didn't dislike it for being noisy, i just didn't like it.
I guess asking for the "less noisy" albums gave you that idea. If you could just ignore that part and recommed any good album by them i'd be grateful.

Everyneurotic 02.21.2008 11:06 AM

black vomit, their collaboration with anthony braxton. get that one, probably the only one by them that's plainly great.

atsonicpark 02.21.2008 11:26 AM

^^^ Agreed.

mAraujo 02.21.2008 11:32 AM

Thanks!
