I agree the 80s certainly was their 'classic' period, and probebly the Sonic Youth music I most closely identify with. Although I think NYCG&F and Sonic Nurse were their best albums in a long while, nothing beats Bad Moon Rising, EVOL, Sister and Daydream Nation.
