okay, now a technical question

I purchased a $20 RCA Personal Portable Cassete Recorder, it has a built-in microphone and a microphone jack. What is the best way to record to a tape from it? Is it just to plug in a mini-jack from my cd player into the mic jack on the recorder?

Also, I'm using Song HF 90 minute tapes, I decided to go with them over Maxwell 120 minute tapes. Did I make the right choice? (I already had my tracklist configured for 45 minute sides)

I believe that completely. That song is just necessary for most cds or mixes or anything to do with anything

The pacing of the tracks is just as important as the tracks that you choose to put on it.You might choose different genres of music to make your tape, but how things from impossibly different backgrounds are made to gel can be a key to its recipient finding it ace or dull. Also, it's always good to have a vague idea of the mental aspect of the person you are making a tape for. It's highly rewarding when you put a song on it that you think that person might like and it turns out that way.

I've pretty much have a spot-on idea of what this person likes and dislikes, so I'm confident in my choice of songs.

gmku 03.13.2007 02:35 AM

Most of the mix tapes I make are for my own amusement. I hardly ever make a tape with anybody else in mind but myself. I am thinking only of myself and my own amusement when I make a mix tape.
