There is something appealing about the "body" smell - that unwashed smell that is gently heady and mealy. I don't know how else to describe it, aside from the smell of sheets that haven't been washed in a week. That "thick" smell of hair that hasn't been washed in a few days. This can obviously turn acrid and unpleasant very abruptly, but I find that smell very comforting and alluring somehow.

Aesthetically, what I find very deterring is an oily face.

I absolutely agree, its all about finding the balance. I know this guy who doesn't wash and he full on stinks, its just anti-social. I sat in his chair once and was engulfed in this foul warm cloud of putrid air.

i have one smelly toenail. i broke my toe when i was 13 and the nail fell off and when it grew back it was all smelly, and when i cut it now it makes a smell.

i only wash my hair once a week, other then that , im pretty fucking clean

A natural "human" smell is often far preferable to some kind of "scent" people put on themselves to "smell good."

i wash ritualistically (sometimes twice a day) except for my hair because tap water will turn my hair yellow.

nothing smells worse than pierced ears, I know someone who is stretching their ear piercing and it totally reaks. My dog eats my toe nail clippings.

infected piercings smell so gross. i had a nose ring that got infected and i couldn't stand it. i had to take it out.

the funny part about bathing every day is that your body/hair becomes used to it & if you don't do it you might stink & be greasy...but if you stop washing everyday then eventually your body will become used to that & it will take a lot longer for you to get stinky & greasy...true story...i only wash my mophead once a week on average, but i shower almost every day...
