mmhmm pretty spot on right there. Maybe its because I just haven't been in a hip hop mood (I've been pretty stuck on old punk rock & SST in general) but both this & Blueprint 3 just bored me. Two records I may never listen to again...

I expected to like this much more than Blueprint 3. But I don't. Blueprint 3 has some horrible songs on it. But it also has some amazing ones ("Thank You, Thank You"s final verse may just be the best fucking verse of the year!). Which makes BP3 very very frustrating to me. Cuz there's some shit on there that I CANNOT STOP listening to, even though I gotta skip over some shit.

haha I totally agree. No I.D. had some killer beats for it but there are some truly awful songs on there. & I don't need to here another Jeezy verse. I'll listen closer to that Thank You verse cause I can't remember it right now...

OBFCL II falls flat for me cause some of it does sound way too poppy & to me that's not Raekwon

noisereductions 09.14.2009 07:40 PM

the last verse of "Thank You" is the one about MC's murdering themselves with 9/11 imagery. It's so ridiculous that you can't help but be like WTF??? WOW!

OBFCLII is just... I don't know. I liked THE DAVINCI CODE better, and that was meant as a mixtape. So...
