What street do you plan to skate tonight?

schizophrenicroom 03.24.2006 11:46 PM

I'm goin' down First and Vine. You can shop there anytime!

John Violence 03.25.2006 01:33 AM

H-Street Biatch! Actually I bought a new complete and only skated for a few minutes.

marleypumpkin 03.25.2006 01:36 AM

Yeah, just have to break the new deck in before ripping & shredding. What was the complete deck set-up? (trucks, bearings, deck, bushings, etc.)

John Violence 03.25.2006 01:39 AM

I got an Alien Worksop Dyrdek board, Ricta Templeton 56mm wheels, Krux trucks, Reds Bearings, and Shortys hardware. OK setup. There wasn't that much to choose from. I wanted a Krooked board.

Not a bad little set-up. Here goes mine, Pig Deck, Monster truck, Spitfire wheels, Bones Reds bearings, Black Magic grip, Shorty's hardware, & Emerica:
Templeton 3 shoes.

John Violence 03.25.2006 01:48 AM

Nice setup. I'm skating in the Dollin No Skools. They have a super good board feel but they are kinda dying quick. Loose trucks or tight? I'm into loose trucks.

marleypumpkin 03.25.2006 01:52 AM

I like my trucks tight. It just seems to keep your foot memory, I guess you'd say, in place. But having tight trucks can whorp the deck easily.
Speaking of dying shoes, I bought the Circa's Jamie Thomas model, & they wore out in a month or so.

What about Kurt? He could take some punches. If you know what I mean.

Ed's how I first discovered SY. He played the track "Titanium Expose" in his segment on the Toy Machine video, "Welcome To Hell". Hell of an artist to.

chabib:
Did you notice I started the therad "Favorite Skaters" on the old board. & wouldn't you know it, my favorite skater, Ed Templeton. I have his Emerica's Templeton 3 model, by the way.

John Violence 03.25.2006 03:05 AM

That's the same way I heard about Sonic Youth. Let's not forget when Ed skated to Mote on Jump Off A Building. He also uses the in between noise part on the Diamond Sea on that video. On one of my skate vids I skate to Genetic.

marleypumpkin 03.25.2006 03:10 AM

Yes, Ed Templeton is the most talented thing ever on a skateboard.

the big quasar 03.25.2006 03:26 AM

Nurse beats Murray St by TKO in the 7th...

krastian 03.25.2006 03:33 AM

I know...it was a good fight.

schizophrenicroom 03.25.2006 02:49 PM

Was there mud involved in this fight?

I kinda used to be into skateboarding, but now, eh.

samuel 03.25.2006 03:20 PM

I kind of like this band.
