35 - 40 euoro's is way to much of asking for those things. i hope you laughed desparingly at the shop owner as you left. |
Have you guys heard that at this year's NY marathon ipods (well, all music players I guess) are banend coz they're considered doping??
|
yes always have music on when i walk, unless its somewhere new that i go to and i want to hear what the street sounds like (hard to describe) but trains, buses, streets i always have music. just been listening to some earth 2 while walking through some woods. pretty amazing.
nicfit, i did see that thing about the ipods and marathon. why do they want to ban them? |

They say music "alters" athletes' performance. Guess that's becuz of the body reaction to music (some substances produced by brain and stuff). But it's really stupid coz even people cheering when you pass by have that effect, methinks. So, "Everybody attending the marathon, please shut the fuck up" is the next move to have a "fair" competition? meh. |
I used to always listen to music when I ran, because it helped get me into a good running rhythm - The right music worked like a metronome for my feet. So I can see why the NYC marathon people might say that listening to an ipod could be considered an artificial aid, but at the end of the day it's still the runners' muscles providing the power, and they're not being aided. The logical next step to banning ipod would be to ban sports psychology.

Taht's what I meant, heck, you can't have supporters supporting you, then? Let's all compete in an empty stadium all with the same equipment trainer etc etc? madness. this isn't sparta, though. |

I will go to see my physician on Wednesday morning to give me examination.
Been kind of scared lately, because I felt my blood pressure would get too high at times and I'd feel really awful. Damn, I'm 26, I ain't no old man. What the hell is that? |
