I really want to participate in this thread, but it's late and I would rather have an open dialogue. Guess I'll wait until next time. |

You'll notice the one time I refer to statistics is when I'm talking directly to the dimmest lit of the SYG bulb factory. Everyone else can bask in their heathen smugness. We'll see who gets the last laugh. Foolish mortals. |

Derek's in Glasgow. They've not long discovered vegetables as an alternative to the whisky diet, I'd be astonished if they had such high-fashion as Gap.

trying to explain God to a person who is completely obstinate is like trying to explain gravity to an asshole. Gravity is always there, it always defines every single aspect of our existence. It is a universal constant. And yet, do many people every consciously think about or meditate on gravity? No, we even learn all kinds of sports and other athletic abilities to counter gravity, to play with it even! And yet gravity continues on as ever, defining our every parameter, our every option, our every move. Until you become aware of this, cognizant of it, then you would perhaps think Einstein a rambling lunatic as he tries to explain it.. for the nihilists out there, God(s) is gravity, God(s) is always there, and yet always gives us the freedom of movement within the parameters. Until you come to this understanding, that God(s) is beyond comprehension, and yet is easily observable in light of God(s) attributes, then perhaps God(s) will remain for those as much a mystery as gravity is to the average person on the street, who gives little thought to that fundamental cosmological force which directs everything..
God(s) is like gravity, and so God(s) is everywhere, and yet in the gift of free will God(s) appears to be nowhere at all.. You can doubt gravity all you like, but in the end, it appears hopelessly silly and naive, as it does to be so mean spirited and antagonistic towards God(s). If you are not a believer, that is fine and dandy, but what is the harm in belief? Speak out again injustices in the churches and religious institutions, speak out against the wicked hypocrisies committed daily by supposedly religious people, but please, don't let all that go against God(s), for blaming God(s) for all of our own shortcomings is like blaming gravity for missing that shot in basketball, when perhaps it was just a bad shot, or a lack of experience or practice, or just an off day ;) |

How do you know what God is? You don't. You just have an idea, like anyone else who's done shrooms. When you think you are talking to God, you are talking to your inner most deepest self. Your inner monologue. God is an euphamism in a way. |

I never said I know what God(s) is, I made an allegorical connection to explain, from my experience, ways in which God(s) may be like. As Glice already pointed out on the first page of this thread, who could know the mind of God(s)? In truth, I don't even know anything substantially to prove or describe gravity either, both are rather imaginary from my limited, human perspective, shit I don't even know if I really exist sometimes, or if anything really exists for that matter. But my humble ignorance should NOT negate the existence of either gravity or God(s). I've never met a person from Namibia either, but I should not be so naive as to think that because I have never been to Namibia, or know any Namibians that Namibia thus does not exist. I make it not my business to know everything about God(s), rather I use my understanding of God(s) to learn everything about myself. |
